Our client is a leading ERP Consulting, Support and Development company and they are currently looking for a QA consultant who is passionate about Automated Testing. Initially you will step into a QA consulting role to learn the products and methodologies of the company – for the right person this role will develop into a team lead position where you will mentor and guide the other testers in Automated testing methodologies.

Automated testing has only been used in varying degrees within this company for the past 12 months. We need someone with the vision, passion and drive to drive the use of automated testing tools within this company

The team lead position is a new position and key to maintaining the high standards of software development this company has.

Responsibilities will include:

* Create and maintain product test plan (manual & automated) for effectiveness and completeness
* Monitor the integrity of product documentation
* Software testing
* Communicate effectively with programmers, consultants and other team members
* Contribute to product enhancement and development
* Assist in Business partner helpdesk problem resolution and service
* Mentor use of Automated Testing tools
* After initial period as a QA Consultant, step into a team lead position to help cement the team as a strong unit.

The skills we will be looking for from the successful candidate will be as follows:

* Previous experience supporting or testing accounting software
* 3+ years creating automated testing plans
* Ideally experience with TestComplete from Automated QA – but other similar Automated Testing tools will be considered also
* Technical knowledge including basic SQL knowledge
* Good understanding of business processes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Outstanding attention to detail
* Well organised and efficient
* Previous experience leading testing teams, or strong enough experience to be able to step into a Team Lead position.

You will also need strong interpersonal skills to work in this role with a proactive attitude, strong self initiative, excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to learn and self educate.
